Capacity is 100 kWh
Porsche unveiled the first electric Macan yesterday, and today interesting details emerged. It turns out that the German car received a Chinese traction battery with a capacity of 100 kW·h — its manufacturer is CATL.
Considering that Porsche is part of Volkswagen, this is not unexpected, since Volkswagen’s ID line electric cars also use CATL traction batteries. What kind of battery is used in the Macan is unknown, but there are not many options, since we are talking about 800-volt technology: it could be either Qilin or Shenxing.
Recall that the electric Macan is represented by two models: Macan 4 and Macan Turbo. The power of the first — 408 hp, it accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, and has a range of 784 km. The Macan Turbo received a 639 hp power plant. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, range — 765 km.
