The Sims franchise has dominated the life simulation segment for many years. Sometimes competitors of varying degrees of ambition appear
South Korean Krafton, which many may know from PUBG, is gradually expanding its gaming portfolio. A life simulator in the style of The Sims is in the works, which looks promising.
The project was called inZOI and attracted a lot of attention. It is based on the modern Unreal Engine 5, which allows you to achieve impressive graphics.
The developers reminded themselves again – they prepared a selection of gameplay footage, and also talked about plans for the game. It turns out that inZOI is going to add group events, a karma system, a city editing mode, cars, as well as deep mechanics of relationships between characters (“zoises”, a term similar to “sims” from The Sims).
Karma is expected to take into account the character's previous actions and influence how others treat him.
The exact release date for inZOI is still under question (previously in Krafton presentations this project was among those planned for 2024).
