This version of the Land Cruiser Prado 250 is presented only in China
The official premiere of the Land Cruiser Prado 250 took place a few days ago at the Beijing Motor Show. In China, the car is offered in four trim levels: Travel BX (5-seater), All-round TX (5-seater), All-round TX (6-seater) and Hanye WX (6-seater). The Autohome resource published live photos of the 6-seater All-round TX configuration. In no other markets is the Land Cruiser Prado 250, designed for sixth people: in the USA the car is strictly five-seater, and in Japan it has 5 or 7 seats.
Despite the fact that the equipment is not the simplest, there are no luggage rails on the roof. Tires — with AT tires, rims — black.
The steering wheel of the Chinese Land Cruiser Prado 250 is the same as in the car for other markets, but the digital instrument panel is reduced in size. As for the media system, it supports Huawei HiCar, Baidu CarLife, Apple CarPlay interfaces. There is also WeChat support. The hardware platform is based on SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155.
The interior is black, the seats are combined (leather/fabric), the ceiling is also black. There is no panoramic roof, but there is a power sunroof. At the back there are sockets for connecting a charger (for example, a laptop) and ports for charging smartphones and tablets.
The second row seats, although separate, are super comfortable seats of a typical Chinese minivan. The only convenience is individual armrests. The third row seats are very basic, but do have headrests and cup holders. Even with the third row seats folded down, there is little room for bags and belongings in the trunk.
The second row seats can be folded forward close to the first row seats, and the rear ones can be folded, but there will be no flat floor in the trunk.
The dimensions of the Land Cruiser Prado 250 are 4925 x 1940 x 1910 mm, wheelbase — 2850 mm. The Chinese version of the car has only one power plant — hybrid, based on a 2.4-liter turbo engine. Power is 330 hp. The SUV has permanent all-wheel drive with a Torsen-type limited slip differential, as well as a reduction gear in the transmission. The approach and departure angles are 31° and 22° accordingly, ground clearance — 221 mm.
