The most popular Russian truck in May of this year is “GAZon NEXT”, 478 vehicles sold
The Russian market for new trucks in May of this year dropped by 15% relative to May 2023 — up to 9950 units. KamAZ, despite a significant drop in sales (by an impressive 36.5% — to 1812 units), took first place in the market.
Sitrak sales dropped even more in annual terms — by 39% (to 1260 units), but this brand still ranks second in the market. In third place — Shacman (24% drop — to 1087 units). FAW and Dongfeng secured fourth and fifth places. But if FAW also has a minus, albeit a small one (only 6%, sales decreased to 976 units), then Dongfeng’s sales literally soared — the company sold 700 units of trucks, which is 2.5 times more than what was sold in May 2023.
Interestingly, Dongfeng with its DFH family trucks took second place in the model rating. The first position of the Sitrak C7H is unshakable, and the most popular domestic truck — «GAZON NEXT»: sales of 478 units allowed it to gain a foothold in third place in the model rating.
