In 11 years, the average speed of home Internet in Russia will increase almost 100 times, from 100 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s. This plan was set by the Internet provider «Dom.ru».

In 2023, more than half (54%) of subscribers in Russia used the Internet at speeds of more than 100 Mbit/s, whereas 10 years ago the share of such users was only 3%. Today, home Internet speeds can reach 2.5 Gbit/s; some providers already have this service.

The growth of Internet speed has significantly impacted the gaming industry. Over the past couple of years, computer game traffic among the provider’s subscribers has grown by 40%, mobile games — by 61%, game consoles — by 54%.

Analysts of the provider «Dom.ru» They predict that by 2035, 98% of Russians will have access to a network with a speed of more than 1 Gbit/s and 50% of them will use the Internet at 10 Gbit/s.
