The Ayaneo Pocket S gaming console will be the first console on the market based on the Snapdragon G3x Gen 2.
This platform was introduced last year and has not yet appeared on the market. This is a specialized solution specifically for gaming devices, although technically it is unlikely to be fundamentally different from the usual Snapdragon mobile SoCs.
The console will also be equipped with a 6-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB storage and will offer a rather minimalistic design. The console will be running Android.
Since there are no devices with Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 on the market yet, and Qualcomm does not disclose all the details, we do not yet know what this platform is capable of. Presumably, technically it is similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but is designed for 15-watt mode and active CO, so in theory the performance should be higher, and throttling — below.
The console will be released in April. There's already a preview on Indiegogo, but no pricing yet.
