It is built on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo platform
BYD officially presented the Sea Lion 07 crossover, which became the first car on the new e-Platform 3.0 Evo platform. It is available in four versions with prices ranging from $26,250 to $33,200.
The e-Platform 3.0 Evo is significantly improved over the e-Platform 3.0, with an improved powertrain and faster charging. Advanced CTB (Cell-to-body) battery technology increases passenger safety in frontal collisions and body strength by more than 60%.
The electric car, according to the developer, is equipped with the world's highest-speed serial electric motor (23,000 rpm) and can reach a maximum speed of 225 km/h. The new car is equipped with three power units. Front-wheel drive models are equipped with 230 kW or 170 kW electric motors. The all-wheel drive model has two engines with a maximum power of 160 kW and 230 kW. The single-engine model offers two range options: 550 km or 610 km, while the dual-engine model — 550 km. The maximum torque is 380 N·m, acceleration time from 0 to 100 is 7.3 seconds and 6.7 seconds respectively. The battery capacity is 71.8 kW•h and 80.64 kW•h.
BYD Sea Lion 07 can charge 10–80% in 25 minutes on existing GB15 chargers (Chinese charging network standard) with a power of 180 kW (750 V/250 A). Sea Lion 07 — The first BYD vehicle to be equipped with ADAS DiPilot 100 God's Eye, which is linked to 12 ultrasonic radars, 5mm radars and 11 cameras. The car offers L2 Autopilot, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Speed Control.
BYD Sea Lion 07 features a four-spoke steering wheel, physical buttons for main controls and a 50-inch AR-HUD. The 15.6-inch central screen runs on the DiLink 100 system, which supports voice control. Ambient lighting supports 128 colors. The car has a Dynaudio audio system with 12 speakers. There is a 220 V socket, for example, for a laptop, a karaoke system and an NFC key. In addition, the car is equipped with 11 airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system.
