The main assembly line of KamAZ today, January 9, started working again after suspending production for the January holidays. This month the plant plans to produce more than 3.3 thousand cars.
In 2024, the company will continue to implement projects aimed at strengthening the country’s technological sovereignty and meeting demand through domestic products. The company's plans — production of a wide range of cars on a sanctions-resistant basis, which are in demand today in the field of commercial cargo transportation, agriculture, construction sector, housing and communal services and other sectors of the Russian economy.

As the press service of the enterprise noted, the Russian automobile industry will develop towards increasing environmental friendliness and efficiency: «First of all, we are talking about the development of cars with promising types of power plants — hybrid, all-electric, hydrogen. Priority is given to vehicle automation and robotization systems, telematics and intelligent safety and control platforms. According to the Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin, KamAZ is the flagship of the domestic automotive industry, whose products have the highest level of localization in the industry, and mostly domestic components are used in production.
It became known earlier that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) and AvtoVAZ also returned from the New Year holidays.
