The press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency announced a decrease in the number of aviation incidents in Russia over the 11 months of 2023. The number of cases decreased by 1.3%, amounting to 670 incidents.

The official statement emphasizes that today there is no trend towards an increase in the number of air incidents in Russian air transport.

It is noted that the decrease in the number of incidents occurred in parallel with the increase in aircraft hours. Over the 11 months of 2023, this figure increased by 6.5%, reaching 1.85 million hours compared to the same period last year.

Mikhail Vasilenkov, head of the department for maintaining the airworthiness of aircraft of the Federal Air Transport Agency, noted that the actions of aviation enterprises contribute to ensuring a high level of flight safety.
