Spartan 2.0 is based on Force Gurkha

MV Motors has introduced a new model of an electric SUV called Spartan 2.0 EV, based on the Force Gurkha. Previously, the company collaborated with the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant on the project of electric UAZs. The Force Gurkha has been produced since 2008, the model is very similar to the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

Spartan 2.0 EV retains original body features, ladder frame chassis, suspension, off-road equipment and interior parts. The electric motor, placed instead of the gearbox, generates 177 hp, while maintaining all-wheel drive and high peak torque of up to 1075 N·m, transmitted through the transfer case. The car also features manual locking differentials front and rear, as well as hill descent control.

The Chinese-made battery has a usable capacity of 57.4 kW·h, providing an estimated range of about 241 km. Charging can be done at up to 90 kW, from 20% to 80% in 40 minutes. The vehicle can serve as a power source for power tools.

So far, prices for the Spartan 2.0 EV have not been announced, but several years ago the price for the Spartan EV in Europe started at 40 thousand euros.
