Features of licensed content led to SnowRunner being withdrawn from sale in some regions, such as Russia and Belarus
Last year, SnowRunner was blocked on Steam for several regions. For example, players from Russia and Belarus could not buy the project.
As it turned out, the reason was the Ford ban: licensed cars are used in the game, so the distribution of SnowRunner was suspended for sanctioned regions. Saber Interactive has found a solution; for such regions they will replace Ford car models with alternative ones.
Judging by a recent statement, with the release of season 12 of “Public Energy” (i.e. 31 January) SnowRunner will again be available to users in Russia, Belarus and other affected regions (they will be replaced by Ford brand vehicles).
