Today there was a meeting between Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the head of «Russian Railways» (Russian Railways) Oleg Belozerov. At it, Oleg Belozerov spoke, among other things, about the readiness of Russian Railways for the summer season and the measures that are being taken to ensure that it passes without failures and problems.
Among other things, Russian Railways plans to launch a waiting list by the end of June for passengers who want to purchase tickets online and are faced with a lack of tickets. Belozerov explained:
This year we want to launch a waiting list by the end of June. We are traditionally asked the question: if you can’t buy a ticket, is it possible to stand in line? We will now present this electronically.
He also noted that almost 80% of tickets are sold electronically. At the same time, according to VTsIOM, current passenger satisfaction – 81%. Belozerov also said:
We use artificial intelligence to provide customer support almost 24 hours a day. 109 topics, more than 5 million words can be used when working with our call center in order to understand how it is more convenient to buy a ticket or move around. More than 5 thousand carriers have already connected to our open multimodal service platform. 538 – since the beginning of this year. This shows that the service is in demand and we are getting good results.
