Even though the Suzuki Jimny is a classic car with an internal combustion engine, and the Baojun Yep Plus is an electric car, their power is the same
The Baojun brand has published fresh images of the electric SUV Yep Plus, which is called the “Chinese Jimny” for its similarity in body shape and dimensions with the Suzuki Jimny. The pictures show the interior of the car for the first time, and it looks much more modern than the interior of the Japanese model.
The car received a digital dashboard and a media system with a large screen. According to Autohome, the front and rear seats of the car are made of very soft memory foam. The driver's seat is electrically adjustable in 6 directions, the front passenger seat is adjustable in four directions and only mechanically.
Judging by the image of the interior dimensions shown, the Baojun Yep Plus will be quite spacious for its class. The dimensions of the car are 3996 x 1760 x 1726 mm, wheelbase length — 2560 mm (the wheelbase of the five-door Suzuki Jimny is slightly larger — 2590 mm).
The Baojun Yep Plus cabin has 28 places for small items. Trunk volume — 385 l, but if you fold the rear seat, the volume increases to 1715 l.
The full premiere of Baojun Yep Plus will take place in April at the Beijing Auto Show. The car received one electric motor on the rear axle, its power is 102 hp. Claimed power reserve — 400 km.
