Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto V and Fortnite are in first place
As we've already said, the Xbox Series consoles have been soundly beaten by the PlayStation 5 this year. There are a lot of different reasons for this, and one of them could be gaming. Based on almost 2.5 million Xbox accounts, the TrueAchievements portal has compiled a list of the most popular games on this platform.
It turned out that these are mainly cooperative projects, many of which, firstly, have been released quite a long time ago, and secondly, are available on Game Pass.
The top three look like this: Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto V and Fortnite. That is, these are all middle-aged online games, which in themselves do not encourage you to buy a new Microsoft console.

A couple of games deserve special mention. Firstly, this is Starfield, which was heavily criticized by journalists and many players. But the game is not available on PS5 and is available on Game Pass, which apparently had a positive impact on its popularity. Secondly, this Redfall is in 38th place. The game was simply destroyed by both gamers and journalists, it failed in sales, its online presence on Steam quickly dropped to almost zero, but the game is available on Game Pass and, as we see, was included in the list of the most popular on Xbox this year.
