Ford is recalling more than 2 million Ford Explorers worldwide. Parts of an SUV fall off while driving

Given that the recall covers cars manufactured from 2011 to 2019, problematic cars may also be found in Russia

Ford begins 2024 with a major recall: problems were found in 1.8 million Ford Explorer SUVs in the United States. And taking into account cars sold in other countries, approximately 2.2 million units are being recalled. Reason – in the unreliable fastening of the front strut cover (the one painted gloss black in the photo): at speed while driving it can fall off, which is unsafe.

The fastening defect affected vehicles manufactured from 2011 to 2019. A Ford spokesman said that only about 5% of all vehicles have a bad trim, but the company still urges owners of this model to take it to a dealer to have it checked.
