Testing in some European countries starts on January 31

Peugeot plans to use ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence chatbot, to improve the voice assistant experience in its cars. According to Peugeot's director of product Jerome Micheron, ChatGPT will be implemented in all of the company's models, including the new e-3008 electric car and small commercial vehicles.

Tomorrow, January 31, the system will work in test mode in France, Great Britain, Germany, Italy and Spain. It is expected that ChatGPT will be able to answer user questions related to driving and navigation. Peugeot plans to make artificial intelligence a standard feature in its car media systems within this year.

Recall that in early January, Volkswagen officially announced plans to integrate ChatGPT into the existing IDA voice assistant of its cars by the end of this year. At the time, the company claimed that the chatbot would be able to «provide relevant answers to almost any conceivable query» and will have «interesting conversations» with owners of Volkswagen ID, Tiguan, Passat and Golf.
