From January 1 it will be halved

Tesla has sharply slashed prices on a number of new and used vehicles in its lineup in both the US and Canada. The move is part of a strategy to increase sales and deliveries by the end of the year.

The savings are most noticeable on new, used and demo Model 3s, some of which have had their prices reduced by more than $3,700. The reductions affected variants with rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and Performance. Some will prefer to wait for the updated Model 3, which is already available in China, but others will agree to the original version at a good discount.

Model Y discounts total around $3,000 on rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive and Performance variants. Tesla has also cut prices on the Model S, with some versions falling by more than $5,000. These are low mileage cars. The same trend is observed in relation to the Model X.
