Cheaper devices are now popular
This year, interest in digital devices before March 8 exceeded last year's, as well as the periods before February 14 and 23 of this year, as stated in a new MTS study.
Sales increased by 20-35% compared to the February holidays and by 38% compared to the previous March 8th. The overall trend shows that consumers are increasingly turning to electronics before the holidays: from February 1 to March 4, sales increased by 49% compared to last year.
The top sellers by March 8 were wireless headphones, among which the Huawei Freebuds SE 2 model stands out. The list of popular products also included smartphones from Infinix, Xiaomi and Samsung. However, this year Russians are less likely to choose iPhones and other Apple products as gifts, which distinguishes this year from the previous one.
