There are two Omoda models in the top 5
The Ministry of Industry and Trade published probably the most interesting ranking of car sales in Russia in 2023. The list contains the five most popular new cars for 2023.
In first place is the Omoda C5, and it leads by a very large margin. True, it is not clear why it is in the ranking at all, because sales of this crossover in Russia started back in November 2022. It is not surprising that 27 958 Omoda C5 have been sold so far, since it was sold for the full year 2023.
But the result of the Haval M6 is much more impressive: sales of the car started in the summer, and in less than six months it managed to secure second place with a result of 7889 cars sold.
The top three is closed by the Kaiyi E5 sedan, assembled in Russia – 6 749 cars sold in 2023 The top 5 also included the Jetour Dashing (5,736 crossovers sold) and the Omoda S5 sedan with a sales result of 5 721 units.
