According to the latest rumor, Microsoft is planning to show games at the upcoming Gamescom event.
Parris Lilley of Kinda Funny Games and Gamertag Radio says what was shown at the recent Xbox Games Showcase is only a portion of what the company will offer.
Similar news was reported by Windows Central employee Jez Corden, who on social network X suggested that this was just part of what Microsoft wanted to show. There will be much more at Gamescom.
At the recent Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft showed off a number of games including Gears of War: E-Day, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Starfield: Shattered Space, Perfect Dark and Fable. What else the company wants to show at Gamescom remains a mystery, but it is not surprising that there are other projects in the portfolio.
It's possible that Xbox will use the Gamescom stage in August to officially announce release dates for 2024 games that it hasn't announced. Among them may be Avowed, Towerborne and the Starfield: Shattered Space expansion.
