The first details about LEGO Horizon Adventures have appeared. Aloy's adventure will be much smaller than the previous stories of the new PlayStation icon.

LEGO Horizon Adventures can be completed in just 7-8 hours, so in this regard the game will be significantly less ambitious than Horizon Zero Dawn (29-30 hours) or Horizon Forbidden West (28-29 hours) . But the developers stress that the story in the LEGO world will offer some replayable elements.

Sony's game includes two-player co-op (online and single-player), but no cross-play. LEGO Horizon Adventures will receive an updated Horizon Zero Dawn story that will be “more engaging and kid-friendly.” The developers are, in a way, “making fun of the franchise.”

The game was developed on the Unreal Engine 5 and received support for ray tracing – PS5 players will be able to choose two modes: performance (60 frames) or quality (30 frames per second).

In the new part, the cast of characters from the “serious” version of Horizon will return. There will be opportunities to use the environment – for example, when shooting through a fire, arrows will be set on fire.

James Windeler, Director of Narrative at Guerrilla Games, spoke with the Pushsquare editors at the Summer Game Fest and admitted that LEGO Horizon Adventures will be coming to Nintendo Switch because the team wanted to create a game “for everyone.”

“When we approached this game, we wanted make sure it's for everyone. [This philosophy has influenced every creative decision, and the release of [LEGO Horizon Adventures – ed] on Nintendo Switch is part of that. We are trying to attract the widest possible audience to the game and series. And the Switch is aimed at a family audience, which is very suitable for expansion.”
