First of all, this is Jeff Williams

The current head of Apple, Tim Cook, will sooner or later leave his post and he will need a successor. Bloomberg insider and journalist Mark Gurman believes that Jeff Williams could become the new head of the Cupertino giant.

Williams is now Apple's chief operating officer. According to Gurman, Williams currently runs all of Apple's operations and is responsible for the company's supply chain. What's also interesting is that Williams, who is often referred to as “Tim Cook's Tim Cook,” since Williams' background is very similar to Cook's, from his work at Apple to his upbringing in the South and his degree at the University Duke. True, Williams is only two years younger than Cook, so if the current head of Apple lingers in his chair, Williams may well not be suitable due to his age.

Gurman also says that Craig Federighi, who is in charge of software development, lacks the business acumen needed to run the entire company.

John Ternus is called another  serious contender — Apple's Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering. He only joined Apple's leadership team in 2021, but has risen through the ranks very quickly. He currently works with Macs, iPads, AirPods, and most recently added iPhones and Apple Watches to the mix. And now he is responsible for almost all of Apple's profitable equipment.

Gurman also notes that Tim Cook is not under any pressure now and can remain at the helm of Apple for quite some time.
