Rumor: Nintendo will produce 10 million Nintendo Switch 2s in the next 12 months

The original Nintendo Switch sold over 132 million units. Therefore, the demand for the next console is expected to be huge on launch day as millions of users are interested in the next-gen console.

The launch will attract a large new audience. But with more than 10 million consoles expected to be produced this fiscal year, the gaming giant should be well prepared for the start.

The information comes from component suppliers and other Nintendo partners in Asia, and it is distributed by journalist Takashi Mochizuki from Bloomberg. But, according to him, there is no need to wait for the OLED version this year.

“Shipment data suggests that in the first fiscal year Nintendo will produce more than 10 million next-generation consoles. Unlike the PS5 and XSX/S, which faced a shortage of chips at launch, Nintendo will have a much easier time finding them in stores. As for the OLED version, Omdia says “not this year.”

It is unknown when the console will appear. A full announcement is expected in March, and Nintendo will provide more detailed information about the device, including specifications, in a separate Direct.
