One of these engines is a regular gasoline engine
Renault presented the top version of its coupe-shaped crossover Rafale. The new product, created with the developments of the Alpine motorsport division, is called Rafale E-Tech 4×4.
The designation of the machine reflects the main feature — availability of all-wheel drive. But this is not the most important thing: the Rafale E-Tech 4×4 power plant includes four motors. 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 150 hp. combined with a 70-horsepower electric motor on the front axle, 205-horsepower — at the back and another 34-horsepower engine, which serves as a starter-generator. Total available power — 300 hp The crossover accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds — 2.5 s faster than the regular hybrid Renault Rafale.
An interesting point: the Rafale E-Tech 4×4 turned out to be not only quite powerful, but also long-range. A traction battery with a capacity of 22 kW·h allows you to travel about 100 km on pure electricity, but the total range of a refueled and charged car— already 1000 km.
Rafale E-Tech 4×4 will be offered in two trim levels: Esprit Alpine and Atelier Alpine. Prices have not yet been announced, sales will start in the fall of this year.
