For 190 dollars
The Minisforum company produces many different mini-PCs, but often they share approximately the same dimensions and fairly high performance. The S100 model, which the company introduced today, stands out from the general line.
Firstly, it is much more compact. Dimensions are only 152 x 58 x 19.5 mm, that is, they are comparable to modern smartphones, except for the thickness. Secondly, and this is a consequence of the first point, the performance here is not so good. Of course, it would be extremely difficult to place a 35-watt processor in such a compact case, so the heart here is the Intel N100 with four cores and a frequency of up to 3.4 GHz. However, modern «atomic» Intel processors are very good for their TDP. Interestingly, despite such a CPU and a small case, the mini-PC received an active cooling system.
The new product also includes 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.1 flash memory. The rest includes an HDMI port, USB-C, RJ45 2.5 GbE, a pair of USB 3.2 Gen 2, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. And power here can be supplied either via USB-C, and a 65-watt adapter is supplied, or via an RJ45 connector.
This mini-PC costs only $190.
