The head of Ubisoft spoke about the transition of Xbox to a multi-platform. “The platform may adopt Activision Blizzard’s business strategy”

During the conference call for the latest financial report for the 3rd quarter of fiscal 2024, the CEO of Ubisoft was asked about the recently circulating rumors about Xbox.

A journalist asked Yves Guillemot's opinion about a potential Xbox multi-platform. And although he initially refused to comment on the situation, he later shared his opinion. The answer was unexpected.

“We cannot comment on rumors about Microsoft. They will decide for themselves what is best for them. What you need to know is that Activision Blizzard used to be multi-platform, so that might be a clue, but [if they decide to do this] it won't have a huge impact on the industry.”

It’s difficult to say whether Guillemot is aware of the situation and whether he knows that the matter is not only in Activision Blizzard games, but in the entire Xbox portfolio. He may know more, but doesn't want to go into detail at the moment.
