“Good design will always resonate”
Michael Kirsch, President and CEO of Porsche China, gave an interview to China-Singapore Jingwei, during which he mentioned the latest Chinese electric car Xiaomi SU7 and its similarities with Porsche.
As for the similarities between Xiaomi SU7 and Porsche, I think good design will always resonate. We hope that companies that apply the same standards or even higher requirements will cooperate with us. We stand for fair, fair, legal and healthy competition.

Lei Jun previously stated that the goal of Xiaomi Auto — «become comparable to Porsche and Tesla, create a dream car for a new era of the automotive industry, create a mobile smart space that looks and drives good, while being comfortable and safe».
The new pure-electric Porsche Taycan coupe has a maximum power of 300 kW, can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and has a maximum range of 678 km in WLTP conditions. The Turbo model can deliver 700 kW of power and accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers in 2.4 seconds, with a WLTP range of 630 km.
From January to March this year, Porsche delivered a total of 77,640 vehicles worldwide, down 4% on the same period last year. Porsche delivered 16,340 vehicles to the Chinese market in the first quarter, which is 24% less than last year.
