No, even the PlayStation 5 Pro will not produce 4K at 120 fps. The console is designed for 60 fps at this resolution, and that’s thanks to the PSSR upscale

The PSSR technology itself is created with an eye specifically for 4K/120fps

The PlayStation 5 Pro game console will be about one and a half times more productive than the PS5, and in some modes more than one and a half times. But it will still not be designed for 120 fps in 4K resolution, as previously reported. According to recent data, this mode will be targeted not for the console, but for the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology.

The Insider Gaming resource says that the new upscale technology is being created with an eye toward 4K/120fps and 8K/60fps modes. At the same time, despite the fact that PS5 Pro will be the first to receive PSSR, its GPU will not be able to cope with such a task. The upcoming console will be focused on gaming in 4K/60fps and 8K/30fps modes.

Not a day without a new car brand. Production of Ambertruck commercial vehicles has started in Russia, including a pickup truck with a 2.5-liter diesel engine and all-wheel drive.

It’s difficult to judge in advance whether the PS5 Pro will cope with at least the first one, but the source also gives examples in some games. There are no game names, but, for example, in the first PS5, depending on the mode, it provides Full HD at 60 fps or 1800p at 30 fps, and the PS5 Pro will be able to produce 1440p at 60 fps. In another game, a regular PS5 in an unnamed resolution produces 60 fps only without ray tracing, and the PS5 Pro can handle the same mode with ray tracing.

It is likely that PSSR in the same 4K/120fps mode will be implemented in the PlayStation 6.
