The amount of fines is more than 10 times higher than last year
Since the beginning of 2024, Roskomnadzor has fined bloggers, intermediaries and advertising distributors more than 3.5 million rubles for violating legislation regarding advertising. The press service of the department spoke about this.
The fact is that since September 2022, participants in the advertising market are required to label online advertising, as well as transfer data about it to Roskomnadzor. From September 1, 2023, fines of up to 700 thousand rubles for violations also began to apply.
Roskomnadzor said:
In 2023, the department considered four administrative cases, the amount of fines accrued amounted to 330 thousand rubles. Based on the results of investigations in 2024, Roskomnadzor issued 52 resolutions on administrative liability and assessed fines in the amount of more than 3.5 million rubles.
Among those fined – bloggers Anastasich Ivleeva and Ilya Varlamov (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia), as well as musician Alisher Morgenstern (recognized as a foreign agent).
