On paper, Nine Sols was described as a fusion of successful projects such as Sekiro and Hollow Knight. On May 29, it became possible to evaluate the results of the team’s work.
Nine Sols was released on PC on Steam and sales were so high that the unassuming “indie” entered the top ten most profitable in 9th place. The game is on sale until June 4th with a 10% discount for 990 rubles.
Players rate Nine Sols “very positively” on Steam (an average of 89% after almost 400 ratings), praising the excellent 2D graphics, excellent controls and interesting enemies.
The first review from Game8 rated the game 8.6/10, noting the excellent parry-based combat system, and appearance. The downsides include sometimes overly confusing level design and introductions to boss fights that cannot be skipped.
