The development of Stronghold Definitive Edition continues, but the developers are not always able to provide high-quality content
Stronghold Definitive Edition recently received a major update and premium addition. Not all players of this remaster were satisfied with the work done.
The Valley of the Wolf Campaign expansion received mixed reviews on Steam. Part of the dissatisfaction is related to the overall quality of execution – the developers offer seven missions, three of which are classic castle building/defense, and the rest are “get to the flag” and “castle siege”.
One of the dissatisfied people under the nickname Renval writes:
«crappy reused maps in the campaign at a level of quality lower than fan-made ones, text tips that contain schizoid nonsense that doesn’t even correspond to the essence of the task, a very mediocre narrative“.
Russian-speaking users also had specific complaints – they expressed the opinion that the localization was “terrible”.
With the update to the Stronghold Definitive Edition, castles from Poland, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Germany and France were added to the game; and made various corrections – the list can be found here.
