This year, KamAZ still remains the leader in the Russian truck market, but the Chinese have already won a share of more than 63% (according to recent data from Autostat Info). Perhaps next year the pendulum will swing in the other direction: KamAZ is going to triple the production of flagship trucks of the K5 line.
«Next year, of such iconic things — tripling the production of K5. This year we are expecting 5 thousand», — said KamAZ General Director Sergei Kogogin on the sidelines of the VTB investment forum «Russia is calling!».
If you look at the current year, then in the first three quarters, KamAZ produced more than 3 thousand fifth-generation trucks. KamAZ-54901 tractors, which is 2.5 more than the volume of their production for the same period in 2022.
