Diablo 4 developers are legalizing speeding on horses in cities. Blizzard will remove the restriction in the fourth season with update 1.4.0

The creators of Diablo 4 still listen to the community. The unpleasant restriction will be removed shortly before the first anniversary of the game

On May 14, the fourth season of Diablo 4 is expected. On this day, the game should receive a very large update 1.4.0, which Blizzard Entertainment previously tested with the community on a special PTR server.

Among the new products are not only all kinds of fixes for critical bugs, balance corrections, improvements and improvements to classes, but also some nice little things.

For example, in Diablo 4 there is “speed limit” for horses in cities. Since its release (June 2023), there have been proposals in the community to abandon it, but this only came to fruition in May 2024.

In the description of update 1.4.0, the Diablo 4 developers talked about removing the “speed limiter”, and also played with it from the point of view of the game’s lore:

“You can now spur mounts in the city. (The local PTA tried to get the town crier to read out the speeding lists, but was unsuccessful.).”

Also noted that:

  • Legendary and unique items can now be sold and exchanged. This only applies to unmodified items. After imprinting, enchanting, tempering and processing, the item is account bound.
  • The visual effects of some skills have been updated and will change as the effect becomes more powerful. In addition, existing skill appearance progression has been improved.
  • The channel time when interacting with objects – such as picking up bloodstones or activating switches – has been reduced from 1-2 sec . up to 0.75 sec.
