But the rating includes only companies that also develop chips

Intel unexpectedly regained the title of the largest manufacturer of semiconductor products at the end of 2023.

With reference to data from Gartner analysts, the WCCF Tech resource reports that at the end of last year, Intel's semiconductor revenue amounted to $48.7 billion, which is much more than Samsung's $39.9 billion.

It’s also worth mentioning that the analysts’ report concerns companies that develop microcircuits and then produce them either at their own facilities or at contract manufacturers. Therefore, TSMC is not included in this rating, since this company only produces chips based on other people’s orders.

Therefore, Qualcomm took third place with revenue of $29 billion, and Nvidia earned approximately $24 billion. At the same time, this is the first time for Nvidia that the company entered the top five market leaders. All thanks to the hype around AI and the huge demand for corresponding Nvidia accelerators.
