MSI's Claw Laptop Launches March 8th

MSI's new Claw gaming laptop will go on sale in the US on March 8th with a starting price of $649 and will be powered by Intel's new Meteor Lake processors.

Processor options available: Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and Core Ultra 5 135H “Meteor Lake”, with various SSD drives.

MSI begins with the Claw model priced at $699 with an Intel Core Ultra 5 135H with 512 GB, or $749 for the updated Core Ultra 7 155H with the same 512 GB, and 1 TB of SSD storage is inside the Claw for $799. On March 8th, MSI will release a $749 variant with Core Ultra 7 155H + 512GB SSD, and the other two variants will appear a week later

This is the first appearance of the Intel Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” processor “on a gaming PC. The Core Ultra 7 155H is equipped with 16 processor cores and Intel Arc graphics with 8 Xe-Cores. The junior version with a Core Ultra 5 135H processor received 14 CPU cores and 7 x Xe-Core.

MSI ships with the Claw Accessory Kit, which includes a docking station, travel case, screen protector, and MSI Claw keychain.

Currently the winner among gaming laptops became ASUS ROG Ally with an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor inside, as it is the fastest of all. Even in leaked benchmarks, ROG Ally Z1 Extreme beats the fastest MSI Claw.
