But the GTX 1650 is already not enough
The game Horizon Forbidden West a few hours ago ceased to be a PlayStation exclusive and was released on PC. Performance tests have already appeared on the Internet, and it turned out that the project is doing well.
Unlike Dragon's Dogma 2, Horizon Forbidden West runs very quickly even on an average computer. And this, let us remind you, is one of the most beautiful games of the PlayStation 5 generation at the time of release, according to a number of thematic resources.
The authors of Digital Foundry tested the game on a combination of Ryzen 5 3600 and GeForce RTX 3070, and received a stable 60 fps at high settings and in a dynamic resolution of 1800p. You can get the same thing on the RTX 2070 Super at 1440p.
If you disable dynamic resolution, the GeForce RTX 3070 allows you to get 60-70 fps at 1440p with high settings.
The author of the zWORMz Gaming channel decided to take a different route and check how the game works on a PC with the parameters recommended by Sony itself.
It turned out that a PC that meets the minimum requirements, which is Ryzen 3 1300X and GTX 1650, does not cope very well with the task without the help of upscalers. In Full HD and with minimal settings, performance can drop significantly below 30 fps. But the combination of Ryzen 5 3600X and RTX 3060 in Full HD and at high settings produces a more than comfortable 50-80 fps.
Thus, Horizon Forbidden West, by modern standards, can be called a fairly undemanding game, although very weak adapters like the GTX 1650 still cope with the project poorly.
