The filter becomes clogged by the mileage of 1-2 thousand km
In China, Toyota cars became the leader on the Car Quality Network platform. However, there is nothing good about this, since the platform was created to collect complaints from owners, and various Toyota models are now in the top – they occupy six positions in the top 10. Moreover, Toyota did not break into the top of the Car Quality Network just now, it has been there for several weeks already.
The Chinese are complaining about different Toyota models produced at two joint ventures – FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota. Mostly these are various versions of the 2023 Corolla, including the Ralink and Corolla Cross.
The essence of the claims basically comes down to one thing – The particulate filter clogs not just quickly, but very quickly. By automotive standards, even instantly – The car hasn't had time to break in yet. For example, the owner of a Corolla Cross hybrid equipped with a 1.8-liter engine reported that the particulate filter was already clogged at 2,000 km. Another owner of a Corolla Cross had a particulate filter clogged after a mileage of 1 thousand km, and a third one – on a mileage of about 1.6 thousand km.
At the moment, car owners have only one requirement – announce a recall campaign and fix the problem. Toyota has not yet responded to these reports.
