The Yandex team announced the launch of a new function of the YandexART diffusion neural network for the New Year. YandexART can generate images of Christmas tree decorations in several styles.
The Yandex press service said:
They can be used to decorate the tallest digital Christmas tree in the country on the main page of Yandex. The Masterpiece app will help you immerse yourself in the holiday atmosphere — to create decorations, a special mode “Christmas tree toy” appeared in it.
In order for the decoration to get on the main page of Yandex (ya.ru), you need to generate an image of the toy in the new «Masterpiece» and select the option «Send to Christmas tree» before its publication. The toy will delight its creator and other users until the holidays are over. You can only hang one decoration on the tree. To replace it, you just need to generate a new one with the «Send to Christmas tree» option. At the same time, in «Masterpiece» you can create any number of toys.
Toys are created in several styles: they can be glass, patchwork, wooden and others.
Each user who took part in decorating the Christmas tree on the Yandex main page will be able to receive a gift. To pick it up, you need to click on the arrow icon on the ya.ru page, and then – for decoration as a gift — it will appear among other users' toys. A New Year's surprise could be a discount on the purchase of the company's smart devices, special conditions for a Plus subscription and increased cashback points, a discount on Market, Shop, Food, Delivery, Travel and Posters, additional storage space on Yandex Disk and more.
«Christmas tree toy» — the first special mode for generating «Masterpiece», it is already available to all users. In the new year, the application will add even more similar functions.
