The city service “Velobike” has been operating since 2013
The number of city rental bicycles “Velobike” has increased in the capital. More than seven thousand electric bicycles and over four thousand conventional mechanical bicycles are now available in Moscow. This was reported by the press service of the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the City of Moscow.
With this new season, three thousand electric bicycles 2.0 were added to the rental. This is an improved model that has become more reliable and safer. Soon new bicycles will become available in Zelenograd.
The new e-bikes boast an improved braking system, increased battery capacity and an automatic lock with backlight to indicate the bike's status. In addition, tubeless tires are installed and things are secured in the basket.
