It will be released in the summer
The Stelato S9 premium sedan, which debuted at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, is the result of a collaboration between Huawei and BAIC BluePark (a subsidiary of BAIC Auto). According to the developers, it is designed to challenge premium competitors such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series.
The large all-electric sedan measures 5160 x 1987 x 1486 mm, has a wheelbase of 3050 mm and a curb weight of up to 2366 kg. According to Huawei, the S9 will be offered in single or dual motor versions. The single-motor version produces 227kW of power, while the dual-motor variant combines a 227kW rear motor and a 158kW front motor. Stelato S9 will use CATL batteries.
The design of the Stelato S9 is borrowed from its little brother Luxeed S7, which was created by Huawei and Chery. It uses cameras instead of mirrors and hidden door handles for better aerodynamics. The car received 21-inch multi-spoke wheels. The car will be offered in black, white, red and gold colors.
Like the Luxeed S7, the Stelato S9 is expected to feature Huawei's xPixel headlight system, lidar sensors, a large central control screen running HarmonyOS 4, dual 50W wireless charging pads, and luxurious leather trim.
Stelato S9 will go on sale in July-August. The price range will be from $41,400 to $69,000.
