In 2024, they again remembered the unusual project Sublustrum, which once surprised connoisseurs of quest games

Georgy Beloglazov, one of the creators of Sublustrum, again recalled this remarkable Russian quest. In 2024, he announced the start of work on a full-fledged remake.

Georgy clarified that this is not just another re-release or HD remake, as was the case with Full Throttle. It is assumed that Sublustrum “will be completely recreated in 3D on the Unity engine and will be available on both PCs, tablets and mobile devices.”

According to Georgy, for work on the return of Sublustrum, “we once again joined forces with the guys who stood at the origins of Sublustrum. So, we can say that Phantomery Interactive is returning to this world after 17 years.”

Now creators need specialists (the process of assembling a team to work on the game is underway), for example, the following are needed:

  • Game- designer/Technical writer
  • Project Manager
  • Technical Artist
  • Unity Developer
  • 3D Artist/Level designer

About specific Sublustrum are not yet ready to say when the remake will be completed: “firstly, because we are at an early stage, and secondly, because quality is paramount for us, and we are not chasing a quick commercial result.”

Sublustrum is a non-standard quest in the spirit of the classic projects Myst and Scratches, which “organically combines grotesque and underground, industrial style and elements of steam-punk.”
