But there is a version that runs on liquefied gas
Renault today presented the updated Captur crossover: this is the name of the model in Europe, which was half a step lower than the Russian Captur. But Renault left Russia, the Captur is no longer produced, and the Captur continues to be offered to Europeans. Now in a slightly updated form.
Restyling has not affected the rear of the car, and the front is now made in the spirit of the Renault Rafale crossover. An updated media system with a 10.4-inch diagonal screen instead of 10.25 inches previously appeared in the cabin. The larger display led to a revision of the climate control system. Interestingly, materials made from recycled materials and renewable resources are now used in the interior and seat trim. For example, hemp is used.
With the update, Renault Captur lost its diesel engine. Now the base has a 1-liter turbocharged engine with a power of 90 hp, which can also run on liquefied gas. This unit is paired with a manual transmission. In more powerful versions — 140 or 160 hp — 1.3-liter turbo engine, working in conjunction with either a manual transmission or a «robot».
At the top of the range is the E-Tech hybrid version based on a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine. It is equipped with a traction battery with a capacity of only 1.2 kW·h and produces 145 hp. A similar powerplant previously appeared in the Dacia Jogger and Dacia/Renault Duster. Renault says that in 80% of cases, cars with E-Tech installations move in the city on pure electricity.
Prices have not yet been announced, but the car will probably rise in price a little. Now Renault Captur is sold in Europe for 25.8–33.5 thousand euros.
