Volume – less, power – more
The current Lada Niva Legend is equipped with a 1.7-liter 83-horsepower engine, and the future Niva Sport will receive a smaller engine, but more power. This engine is currently installed on the Lada Granta Sport. The general director of Lada Sport spoke about this. Vladislav Nezvankin.
Recall that the Lada Granta Sport received a 1.6-liter 16-valve VAZ-21127-95 engine with a power of 118 hp. It really produces about 120 hp, if you fill up with the «100th» gasoline. This engine differs from the previous version by a modified intake tract, new fuel injectors with increased performance by 38%, new camshafts, and a modernized exhaust system. Finally, the maximum speed is increased by 700 rpm – up to 6900 rpm
Small-scale production of Lada Niva Sport will begin in the fall of 2024. Obviously, Niva Sport will be more expensive than the regular Niva.
