Today the date of the official premiere of the Lada Iskra became known, and today the body of the new AvtoVAZ model was driven along the assembly line on which the Lada Granta is produced. This was reported by insiders of the Avtograd News public page.
«Today there was a test run of the Lada Iskra car body on line number 5, where Granta cars are currently being assembled. Also, in the near future, personnel will be sent to the Engineering Center to train them in technological processes when assembling the new model. Pre-production is moving », — wrote insiders.
Recall that AvtoVAZ has already patented the designs of three versions of the Lada Iskra — sedan, regular station wagon and cross-station wagon. According to insiders, full-fledged mass production of the Lada Iskra will start in the second half of January 2025. This model, we recall, is built on the CMF-B platform, which was inherited from Renault-Nissan. Over time, Iskra will completely displace Lada Granta from the assembly line.
