KamAZ expects the heavy truck market to collapse by up to 30%

The head of KamAZ announced the forecast

KamAZ head Sergei Kogogin told reporters that the heavy truck market in Russia could exceed 100 thousand units in 2024.

«Our marketers give 100-110 thousand market assessment in 2024», — said Sergey Kogogin.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, sales of trucks in Russia in 2023 increased by 74% and amounted to 140.2 thousand units. Consequently, sales in this segment are expected to decline by 22-29% in 2024.

Previously it became known that PJSFC «Sistema» and KamAZ entered into an agreement on cooperation in the development of hydrogen technologies.

In addition, it was reported that the Russian truck manufacturer KamAZ is moving the production of transfer cases.
