In Russia, a decrease in the average price of new cars has been recorded, as reported by analysts of the Avto.ru portal. According to their calculations, at the beginning of December the average cost of all new cars in the listing was 3,874,581 rubles, which is 0.6% lower than in the previous month.
But if we remember last year’s prices, prices have increased. At the beginning of December 2022, the average price of a new car in Russia was 3,103,238 rubles, which indicates an increase of almost 800 thousand over the year. In November 2023, the average price for a car without mileage was 3,896,223 rubles.
Analysts also note that after a slight increase until January 2023 (up to 3,308,500 rubles), prices remained at approximately the same level until April. However, from that moment there was a sharp jump, and within a month the average price rose to 3,640,000 rubles, continuing its growth until the fall.
In addition, there has been a decrease in retail prices for some specific models presented on the Russian market. For example, at the end of November, prices for flagship crossovers of the Chery brand decreased by 300-350 thousand rubles.
