The developers directly say that this is for next-generation video cards. In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora they found a hidden Unobtanium mode, for which the RTX 4090 is not enough

But DLSS and FSR save everything

The game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, as tests have shown, is quite demanding, but it turned out that it has a special Unobtanium mode, which, as the developers themselves indicate, is intended for computers of the future.

More precisely, this mode will supposedly appear on next-generation video cards. But we tested it now.

It turned out that even the GeForce RTX 4090 is not enough for this mode in 4K. If in normal mode with maximum quality and ray tracing this card provides about 60 fps, then in Unobtanium mode — only about 25-30 fps with drawdowns. True, you can still play, since you can activate DLSS 2 or FSR 3 with frame generation. In the first case, productivity will increase to 55-60 fps, and in the second, to 85-100 fps and even higher.

That is, in general, the mode is really super-demanding and without upscalers is not available on any of the existing video cards, but on the other hand, DLSS and FSR allow you to get more than decent performance. It is likely that less powerful 3D cards can handle the game with FSR 3 and frame generation.
