The sellers decided to fully use the “Kyrgyz customs clearance” while it is still available
«Autostat» interviewed representatives of major dealers about the state of the Russian car market on the eve of April 1 — the day when the new procedure for calculating payments for the import of cars from the EAEU countries into Russia comes into force. If now cars can be imported through neighboring countries, where customs rates are lower, and then sold within Russia without problems, then from April 1, underpaid taxes and fees will be taken into account as part of the mandatory recycling fee.
«Currently, the cost of a car that has passed customs clearance in Kyrgyzstan is approximately 30% cheaper than what is sold in the Russian Federation by official dealers. The price increase will be progressive, taking into account the demand for such cars. By April 1, the warehouses of professional sellers will be overflowing, and their stocks will last for about 3 – 5 months… Some models and even brands may no longer be supplied to the Russian Federation, but brands such as Lixiang and Zeekr will still enter our market through third countries», — said the General Director of the Group of Companies «Avtodom» Andrey Olkhovsky.
According to the director of the new car sales department «Rolf» Nikolai Ivanov, with the introduction of new rules on April 1, there will be much fewer non-professional players on the market. Deputy General Director for Sales of New Cars at AG «Avilon» agrees with him. Alexey Starikov.
