«Today the European Commission fined Apple &euro 1.84 billion for abusing its dominant position in the market for music streaming applications. Apple has illegally limited the ability of music streaming app developers to inform consumers about cheaper music purchasing opportunities outside the Apple ecosystem, — Vestager stated.

She added that Apple's practices «violate European antitrust rules», undermining «the capabilities of European competitors to the Apple Music app».
