Aeroflot develops software for pilots

It will be used on Russian tablets with Aurora OS

Group «Aeroflot» is developing software for tablets running the Russian OS «Aurora», which will be used by its pilots. This was mentioned by the General Director of LLC «AFLT-Systems» (IT company, part of Aeroflot Group of Companies) Denis Popov at the CIPR-2024 conference, which is currently taking place in Nizhny Novgorod.

Popov said that a number of projects are underway to create software: «electronic pilot tablet» for devices based on OS «Aurora», Flight Plan Manager — application for planning an airplane route. «Aeroflot» will be the first Russian airline to introduce equipment based on «Aurora».

Earlier we wrote that «Aeroflot» began transferring flight attendants and other employees from iPad to Russian Fplus T1100 tablets and has already ordered more than 11 thousand devices. At the CIPR conference, an updated version of the 11-inch Fplus T1100-Rus with the mobile operating system Red OS M is being demonstrated. Previously, it was announced that the tablet was compatible with «Aurora» and «ROSA Mobile».
